g.a.s.t. issues an information sheet to everyone sitting the dMAT — module structure, what to bring, what is prohibited, and how your result reaches APS India. This page walks through each section of it so you can find a specific rule quickly.
This is our summary. The official document is the authority.
Details change — test centre addresses were only confirmed from 18 September, and your centre may email you separately. Read g.a.s.t.’s own sheet and check the portal before test day; where the two disagree, they are right and we are out of date.

Sit the official demo before anything else: it is the only place to see the real interface. Our syllabus page breaks the two modules down subtest by subtest.
Participants who arrive late will not be admitted to the exam, even if they are only a few minutes late.

Your centre's address and times are published in the official participant portal.
Worth reading twice, because it is the one step on exam day that can undo the whole point of sitting the test. How the two processes fit together is covered in the dMAT and APS process.
Staff explain the rules in full before you start, and they are also shown on the examination portal at the beginning of the exam. The sheet lists the following as prohibited, “including but not limited to”:
Any breach of these rules will result in immediate exclusion from the exam.
No notepaper and no calculator is the detail that catches people out, because it changes how you have to practise. Working entirely in your head is a skill — see training working memory and rough work strategy.

In other words, the certificate is the only thing you are allowed to be late with. Our registration and APS timeline puts the steps in order.
g.a.s.t. asks candidates to contact their local test centre, or to email them directly at kontakt@gast.de.
We cannot answer questions about your registration, your centre or your result — we have no access to any of it. For anything about preparing, replies to our emails reach a person.

The rules above come from the official candidate information. These are the practical decisions around them.
